Luke 11 contains a parable about asking your neighbor for some bread…a lot of bread…in the middle of the nigh. And the word says that the neighbor won’t give you your bread because of your friendship, but because of your shameless audacity.
This parable is followed by the verse about asking, seeking, and knocking.
Your God loves you. He wants the best for you. Don’t be afraid to ask for things, big things. Don’t come to him with your head down, shuffling your feet in the dirt, thinking that he has better prayers to answer than your measly ones.
Have some shameless audacity. There is joy in knowing that our God can handle it. 🙂
